The story is about John McClane (played by Bruce Willis in the entire series) and the difficult situations faced by a crime fighter. His action-adventure starts from fighting the German terrorists in a high-rise office building to protecting the travelers in a major international airport invaded by a rebellious group of military commandos, then solving a dangerous puzzle to save New York City from the hands of a revenging German terrorist he knocked down before, and the recent one where he had a battle with a group of internet hackers whose intention is to take down all the computer and technological structures (traffic control system, etc.) that supports the economy of the United States.
Every aspect of the movie is remarkable...the story, the acting, the direction, the production, and of course, the impressive action scenes and pyrotechnics. Overall it's really one of the best action movies in Hollywood.
The lead character- John McClane is one of the most distinguished action heroes in Hollywood movies. Why? Because he fights without shoes, socks, or a regular shirt, armed only with a Beretta 92F pistol, and he is famous for this tagline: "Yippee-Ki-Yay Mo****Fu****".
SERIES SUMMARY:
The thrilling Die Hard film series follows the story of John McClane, a tough and clever New York City police investigator, in action-packed adventures.
Die Hard (1988): The first film introduces us to John McClane, played by Bruce Willis. In this first movie, Alan Rickman's Hans Gruber, a squad of terrorists, commandeers a Christmas party where John McClane finds himself locked up in a Los Angeles tower. McClane displays his cunning and tenacity as he struggles against the odds to free the hostages and put an end to the terrorists.
Die Hard 2: Die Harder (1990): In the second chapter, McClane finds himself in yet another terrifying circumstance on Christmas Eve. He ends up at Washington Dulles International Airport, where several mercenaries hijack the communication infrastructure. McClane must battle against time and the terrorists to prevent a deadly outcome.
Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995): In the sequel, Die Hard with a Vengeance, McClane teams up with Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson), a reluctant partner, to investigate a series of bombings that Simon Gruber (Jeremy Irons), the brother of the previous movie's antagonist, has planned. To save innocent lives, McClane and Carver must work efficiently against the clock while figuring out Simon's difficult riddles and obstacles.
Live Free or Die Hard (2007): McClane makes a comeback, this time fighting a cyber-terrorist threat that targets the computer network of the United States. Justin Long's character, Matt Farrell, a teenage hacker, is McClane's target as he tries to defend him from a well-prepared and technologically advanced enemy. He sets out to stop the terrorist plot and safeguard the country with his trademark wit and physical skills.
A Good Day to Die Hard (2013): In the fifth installment, "A Good Day to Die Hard" (2013), McClane journeys to Moscow to support his estranged son Jack (Jai Courtney), who is taking part in a secret mission. He soon finds out, however, that Jack is a CIA agent, and both he and his son are lured into a dangerous operation involving Russian terrorists and political corruption.
Fans of heart-pounding thrillers enjoy the Die Hard series because each film features a combination of intense action, endearing characters, and John McClane's unbreakable spirit.
